Dogs have feelings and moods just like humans do. Understand and respect owners' decisions when it comes to their dog as they just want to ensure safety. Simple acts of kindness, respect and courteousness can go a long way to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for everyone. Let’s all play our part by keeping these tips in mind at your next Furpal playdate!
Owners

Request for a meet and greet outside your house before bringing the play session indoors
2.
Use our Furpal Chat to save money. It will allow you to communicate with the furfriends easily for free, even if it is an overseas number
3.
Let the furfriends know before hand of anything your dog is afraid of so that they don't trigger your dog
4.
Talk to the furfriends and sit with them, together with your dog for the first 10 minutes so that you indicate to your dog that you trust them to be comfortable with his new person
5.
Always check-in with your dog by glancing over every 5 minutes to ensure that your dog is comfortable around the furfriend
6.
Don't be afraid to let furfriends know if there is something they are doing wrong that is making your dog uncomfortable
7.
Don't forget to give feedback and a rating as it is the best way to allow us to learn about your experience and how to improve
Furfriends
1.
Be transparent with the owner about your experience with handling dogs and why you'd like to play with their dog
2.
Read the dog's profile carefully and make sure you choose a dog you are comfortable with to avoid unwanted surprises
3.
Don't cancel on the play session once the owner has accepted your request, unless you have to. It does not benefit you or the owner
4.
Do not run up or touch the owner's dog for the first 10 minutes, allow their dog to sniff and get to know you before they trust you to pet them
5.
Do not bring any food or snacks for the dog. You are not allowed to give the dog anything without the owner's explicit permission
6.
Make sure you don't leave your belongings behind once the play session is over
7.
